EEPC 6.0.1 demo version on a test laptop

Hi,

EEPC 6.0.1 demo version on a test laptop is expired, Peter suggested me to recover using EEtech.

But what if i push a new version of EEPC(licensed) on the test laptop over the demo ? will it work ?

I want to remove the encryption and remove the EEPC.

Thanks,

Rajeev

Re: EEPC 6.0.1 demo version on a test laptop

Why did you create new thread for the same topic?

Most likely it won't work as the new version will be from a different ePO system.

Even from the same system, installation on top might not be possible or give you trouble.

What is exactly that expiry message? Which component license expired? ePO or EEPCv6?

eepc is expired, not able to apply the policy to remove the encryption.

exact version am not sure.....i ll get you by tomorrow.

I think the version is 6.0, it is installed and managed through the ePO.

The last policy update is on 6-july-2010.

Re: EEPC 6.0.1 demo version on a test laptop

can you confirm what you mean by "Demo" version? Was it a beta version you were using? If so, I don't believe there is any solution - the instructions say to remove it prior to the expiry, or use it on non-production hardware.

It is not a beta, but a evaluation license(valid for only 30 days).

Am trying EEtech recovery but not able to create a standalone disc.
