Disaster recovery question

Hi there,

I have a question with regards to the disaster recovery procedure in the following article: https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB71078

If I have McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC 7.0 enabled on laptops will all settings be recovered when completing the disaster recovery?

Yes - everything is held within the EPO DB.

     ePO server 4.6.4 Build 202 on a Windows Server 2003 32bit

     Products installed:   

McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention 

Version number: 8.0

Build Number: 8.0.0.2151

Patch: 2

     

McAfee Agent 

Version number: 4.6.0.3262

     

McAfee DLP Endpoint 

Version number: 9.2.100.36

Language: English (United States)

  

  

McAfee Endpoint Encryption Agent 

Version number: 1.1.1

Language: Multiple

  

  

Endpoint Encryption for PC 

Version number: 6.1.1.275

  

  

McAfee VirusScan Enterprise + AntiSpyware Enterprise 

Version number: 8.8.0 (8.8.0.1247)  

Installed Patches: 4

I will be recovering on the following setup : Windows Server 2008 RII 64bit with McAfee ePO server 4.6.4 Build 202

So this setup should work fine right?

You are migrating the EPO system so it's really a question for the EPO group - but yes, that's what DR is meant to allow.
