Re: Cannot load windows after preboot authentication

Is this a BIOS or UEFI system? Remember, there are different versions of DETech for BIOS and UEFI devices.

Given the boot sector and partition is unknown, I would guess this is a GPT UEFI disk?

Re: Cannot load windows after preboot authentication

Re: Cannot load windows after preboot authentication

You need to be a little more specific - "not working" could mean anything.

Re: Cannot load windows after preboot authentication

After creating the  UEFI disk as guided in

https://kc.mcafee.com/resources/sites/MCAFEE/content/live/PRODUCT_DOCUMENTATION/24000/PD24871/en_US/...

from Page 56

While booting from the disk, it is unable to boot.

And it displayed no messages, nothing helpful at all? These instructions seem to generally work for everyone else - is it possible you missed a step?

Re: Cannot load windows after preboot authentication

If the UEFI standalone DETech disk doesn't function, you can try building the DETech WinPE disk. This disk will function on both UEFI and BIOS systems. You can build this following the guidance in the DETech Guide or Jay Appell has built a utility to make this a fairly painless procedure:
