As you know, currently EEPC6 version, there is no way of automation for user/machine assignment, we should assign them directly by GUI.
But, that is a tough task for us when we do one-to-one assignment between user and machine.
So, I am hoping a plan to automate user/machine one-to-one assignment, for example, run sql command to SQL server directly etc...
Do you have a good idea?
This feature is scheduled for 6.1.2, so if you can hold fire please do..
Adding users via SQL directly, is not support and not encouraged as there are other factors that need to be taken into account.
whgibbo, DLarson, SCtbe,
Thank you for your comments.
Current version cannot suppurt adding users via SQL directly, so I will wait 6.1.2 coming.
Well, the add local domain users feature does automatically assign users to machines. So, technically, we do have a way to automate the user/machine assignment. Have you tried that? This feature, however, will auto-assign both the currently logged in user and all the cached profiles on the system. Not everybody likes this logic, though. So, as stated above, we will introduce API calls in 6.1.2 that allow you to script this type of operation.
These are be implemented as we speak and are scheduled for 6.1.2.
Which third-party are you using, send me a private message.. Just want to ensure that we are speaking with them..
