unable to get Encryption recovery information

We have upgraded McAfee epo from 5.3 to 5.9.1.  EPO 5.3 having MDE extension and packages installed and EPO 5.9.1 not having any MDE component.

We have  few win 7 systems on which MDE  already installed and mcafee agent from EPO 5.9 have been upgraded  without removing  existing MDE on the same systems. and now few system showing error 2100: Detection error on HDD(Main HDD)

So my question is : is there any way to get the recovery xml file or any way to decrypt the disk?

Re: unable to get Encryption recovery information

If ePO 5.3 was upgraded to 5.9.1, there should be MDE extension already installed.
Did you remove it or ePO was not upgraded?
If you still have ePO 5.3, you can also export encryption key from old ePO, as key is not changing on ePO/MA upgrade.

You can also boot from EETech and instead of authorizing using XML file, use token of user last logged on this system. Then DE will be removed.
