Unable to upgdate Windows 10 1703 to 1709 on machines already encrypted with DE 7.2.5.24

Jump to solution

Hallo

I have a Notebook with Windows 10 1703 build 15063.726 encrypted with DE7.2.5.24 without Pre Boot authentication.

I user Baramundi to deploy the Upgrade I do the same on PC which does not have Drive Encryption and it works properly.

I deployed On this encrypted Notebook and asked me in a screen to choose the keyboard layout then redirect me to the windows login screen without system upgrade.

How can I fix this problem.

Thanks a lot

Take a look at the KB article which describes the methods of upgrading to newer Windows 10 with drive encryption installed.

I have used Microsoft Windows Update to install the latest Windows 10 1803 with no issues. Also, I have installed via a DVD with the iso. Just make sure that if you use the iso that you use the switches listed below;

Setup.exe /ReflectDrivers "%programfiles%\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption\OSUpgrade"
