Secondary drive fails to be encrypted, shows as unsupported

Hi,

I have a couple of machines with a secondary drive, and both are failing to be encrypted. I have checked the MfeEpe.log and found the message below:

Skipping disk 1: key checks do not match (expected xxxxxxx, got xxxxxxx)

The disks were previously encrypted, but the primary drive were either re-imaged, and in some cases decrypted and then re-encrypted. Is it possible to format the secondary drive in a way to remove all previous drive encryption information? If not, what would be the alternative solution?

A full format that actually clears\overwrites all sectors should be sufficient.  Various third-party formatting tools should be equally capable but a clean all with diskpart should also do it.  Of course, it is imperative that you make sure all data is backed up and only the intended disk is altered by any format actions.
