Mcafee Encrypted SSD can decrypt

Hi All,

One of Laptop SSD is Encrypted by Mcafee and now the laptop is in another location so is there any possibilities to decrypt and use in another laptop??

You won't be able to use it another laptop until you decrypt the drive.

 

To manually decrypt you will need to export the encryption recovery key, this is a xml file, and use with the EZPE tools that will allow you to decrypt. The recovery key is stored in the database that the ePO server uses so you will have to contact the ePO Administrator. 

 

If the system is connected to the ePO server, then you can get the ePO admin to set a policy that would decrypt the drive for you.
