McAfee Native Encryption install via Windows 10 imaging process
Hello all, I am trying to figure out a way to install McAfee Native Encryption and enforce encryption/enable Bitlocker during the imaging process.
Currently, we are transitioning from Dell Data Protection Encryption to McAfee Native Encryption. Because we have so many Windows 10 systems that currently have DDPE installed, I am unable to push an install and policy update to enforce MNE and turn on Bitlocker, across our enterprise.
I’m wondering if there are command-line switches that would allow a new image to install MNE, then enforce/enable Bitlocker. I’m concerned that we may have techs imaging systems and forget to send a notification that systems were newly imaged. If that happens, we end up with unencrypted systems in our environment.
If there was a way to install and enforce MNE/Bitlocker during the image process, we could start installing and enforcing MNE on all new installs. Then work on unencrypting and removing DDPE, and replace it with MNE.
