Keyboard Issues in PBA

We have been getting recent reports of keyboard issues in Drive Encryption PBA.  The issue seems to manifest itself as delayed keystrokes on both the internal laptop keyboard as well as external keyboard.  Systems affected are HP Elitebook G5 and G6 systems and running multiple different BIOS versions.  Fast boot is disabled in the BIOS.  DE versions are 7.2.8 and 7.2.10.  Sometimes the user has to type really slow to get PBA to properly recognize the password.

A similar issue in PBA, which I'm unsure if related or not, is the inability to perform user recovery where the end user is unable to enter the response code in box 3 of the recovery prompt.  Sometimes it will take multiple attempts before the password can be recovered.

We have a good number of Elitebook G5 and G6 systems in our environment and we're only seeing the issue on a few number of systems.  Users are not reporting issues while in Windows 10.  What else can we do to troubleshoot and resolve these PBA issues?

@joshbilsky Thanks for choosing Community portal.

For such kind of issue the first thing need to checked is BIOS. Ensure the system is running with latest BIOS / Firmware.

Also, look into HP site for these model laptops, if any BIOS / firmware is available, update it.
