We have a mix of versions out there, all 7.2.x. Newest 7.2.9.14. If we start using the utility to allow autoboot for patching does the .exe version have to match the installed version or can we use the 7.2.9.14 version on the systems with the older installed MDE versions?

Hi @Jmac24 ,
Greetings!
You can always use the latest one and its backward compatible.
Fyi - the latest version for EPETemporaryAutoboot.exe is 7.2.10, if you are sure that your environment has only 7.2.9.14 and lower versions running then you can use 7.2.9.14.
How to use the tool is explained in the guide below, just in case if its required 🙂
Thank you
