webRecovery hanging

Just setup EE and everything seems to be going well. Busy trying to register a user on the web recovery.

i can logon as the user and then need to select the security questions.

After answering the questions and clicking next, nothing happens. I can see the progress bar at the bottom of IE slowly moving but after 10-20 mins I finally get a page cannot be displayed error?

Any ideas where I should be looking?

Possibly in future EE version. Existing http engine is (was) buggy.

You mean I currently can't use the webrecovery feature?

RE: webRecovery hanging

I have the same issue with IE8. IE6/7 or Firefox work fine.

Also there's an Apache version of the webrecovery server available, which works fine wih IE8 too.

From support. Call them and ask for it and they can email it to you.

Re: RE: webRecovery hanging

I have logged a call with support in the UK but they weren't aware of this issue or the Apache server option .  I am waiting for them to get back to me

Re: RE: webRecovery hanging

I opened a service request online about this issue and was provided with the download via FTP. It entirely fixed my issues and has been perfectly stable in production for a couple weeks now.  I was provided the apache-cgi update and instructions by a Level III engineer so your request may need to make it's way up the ladder.  It's not an official release though so it's a use-at-your-own-risk sort of thing.
