current status is that EEPC is installed and rebooted, but no progress after that..which means encryption hasn't started yet..
when I press Syncronize button, nothing happens.. So, I tried reinstalling EEPC but the result is the same.
Finally, I tried sbsetup.exe/forceuninstall , but the following message popped up "unable to initialize setup"..
What is wrong? Please help me~
The EEPC version is 5.1.8 on WinXP
and No, I am using the different installset...but shouldn't it be overwriting??
By the way, shouldn't uninstalling command work no matter what version I am using???

OK. Is there "SbClientLog.txt" file. Search boot drive if you are unsure where it should be (normally EEPC Client directory).
Please post that file if you find it.
Check Windows Event logs for messages related to your actions.
If EEPC Client did not activate yet, you could uninstall it and try installation again.
I tried everything as far as I could, but failed..so, I got supported by McAfee engineer remotely, and fixed the problem.
They changed registies and forced to delete the Safeboot, but didn't want to share the knowledge because it's top secret
The cause may be error occured during installation.
Bear in mind when this kind of error occured, just call McAfee and get a help..

you are using a fixed ip address for your management server - are you sure you want to do that? Most people use a DNS name so they can move the server around in future if needed..
