I have installed Windows AIK on my win 7 64 bit system and ran the script "MakePECD3.01 (Windows7).bat" provided by Simon Hunt(thanks by the way) but i am getting a dos screen upon boot that says the following.
then a blinking cursor at
i can not get it to boot.
Has anyone see this before?
it seems i am missing a file or somthing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
press ctrl-c and see if you can break into the command interpretor. Sounds like a WinPE issue more than an eepc one, seeing as you don't have EEPC on your CD at all.
The files in the zips I made are for 32bit os - they won't work on 64bit os. You'll need to swap the drivers over for the 64bit versions at least.
I've never tested WinTech on a PE64 CD - always seemed more effort than it was worth seeing as there's minimal (if any) performance difference.
how long did you leave it for? I think it tries to init the network at the beginning, which can take some time.
Sounds like a winpe problem though - maybe try to make a raw WinPE image and get that working first?
it just sits for a long time i will try making a winpe disc and see what happens.
thanks for the help and thanks again for those scripts once i figure this out it will be a great help with all the new drives that keep poping up .
I'm building the WinPE LiteTouchPE_x64 wim using the McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC 6.x Windows OS Refresh Recommended Process Guide, and I need the x64 versions of MfeEpePc.sys and MfeEEAlg.sys. It's not about performance, I need to run the x64 WinPE to install x64 Windows 7. Can you direct me to where these files are located?
