Did you mean:

db010000 The object is locked

We are running v5.2.9 on the server that has the database installed and most of our cilent laptops are running v5.2.5.  We have seen this error in the past and restarting the McAfee Endpoint Encryption Database Server service always clears it up.  However, my question is if there is anything that we can do to avoid it happening?  We are seeing it more frequently now and the only difference that I know of is that we are pushing out Windows 7 right now and we have many more machines being imaged and installing MEE than we were before this.

Any assistance that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: db010000 The object is locked

It's quite normal for objects to get locked when they are in use - if the locks last for hours though, it probably means your network is dropping out, or users are pulling the cable without powering off or suspending etc.

In that case, all you can really do is drop the tcpip keepalive timeout on your server to a lower value so the OS terminates connections quicker.
