customising error messages 0xe0010013 password content not valid

Is it possible to customise error messages used in the pre boot gui

for example it would be much better to tell users

The password you chose does not match the complexity requirements, your password must be at least 8 characters and contain at least three of the following: lower case, upper case, numerber or special characters

rather than...

Error: 0xe0010013
Password content is not valid

No, it's not possible for you to customize those messages in the pre-boot without getting McAfee to build you a new translation, though you can in Windows by editing the sberrors.xml file.

So to clarify, if i edit the error messages using notepad to reflect a custom message, the default errors will still display on the pre boot screen?

no, I tested it. It means you can edit that file to make changes to the messages the windows gui will see.

If you want the pre-boot to change you have to get McAfee to create a new localisation set, presumably at a cost.
