We're experiencing a rampant problem since rolling out MEE 5.1.9.......when the laptop user goes mobile and is working completely offline, it takes approx 15-20 minutes to reach the desktop after the MEE login. If the user is on any data network (home, office, public wifi), the response time is normal.
At first I thought it was something in our image, but the problem does not exist on a non-MEE laptop with the same image. We also recently migrated from Novell to AD and so some are thinking we have problems there.
Do you have any mapped drives on your system? If so, make sure the "reconnect at logon" boxes are unchecked.
If the machine is joined to a DOMAIN make sure DNS is all setup properly on the laptop
You can try to disable the NLA (Network Location Awareness) service
cant think of any other things to try.
