Upgrading the Endpoint Encryption Manager and EEPC fromV5.2.3 to V5.2.8

Jump to solution

I am about to undertake this upgrade to resolve some issueswe are experiencing. I have read through the documentation and it seems pretty straight-forward. The only thing that was not covered are the remote consoles that we use to connect to the EEM. I'm assuming these will have to also beupgraded? Our EEM was originally installed by a McAfee consultant, and he created a "MiniAdmin5.2.3.5.exe" to install the remote console. Will I need to do this again after the V5.2.8 upgrade?

Technically, No you don't have to rebuild the MiniAdmin for your staff. They should be able to continue to work as in the past.

You should keep everything on the current version where possible, it depends on what issues you want to resolve though.

If it's all server-side, then the remote admins don't really affect that as they won't be running a server of their own.
