Unable to find the system boot disk, while trying manual removal

Hi community,

When booting windows: "invalid partition table" before Windows starts.

I'm trying a manual removal with WinTech on  a HP Nw8440 with EEPC v5.1.0, but

when authenticaticate from sbfs Mcafee says "Error  0x002001b Unable to find the system boot disk".

The same error when authenticate from .sdb file.

Any Ideas?

Would be happy for some help, because sensible data on it.

Thanks in advance,

Cryptor

Is hard disk device accessible after booting from BartPE? Can you at least see it using A43 file manager utility from BartPE CD?

Re: Unable to find the system boot disk, while trying manual removal

No. The device not access and i don´t see disk. The message that show me is

Re: Unable to find the system boot disk, while trying manual removal

Then maybe you do not have appropriate storage device driver on your BartPE CD. Did you try that CD on a working machine?

Now i understand. But How can i do this?

Thank you very much.

Re: Unable to find the system boot disk, while trying manual removal

Once you have BartPE running, start command prompt. Type:

net start dmadmin

diskpart

lis dis

If you get disk information, then disk is recognized.

What disks can you see in BartPE? Did you check that your drive is physically working?

This is very common with (newer?) machines that have SATA hard drives. Newer being relitive to BartPE. You have to add storage drivers or either BartPE will BSOD or just not display the disk. Here is a link to Nu2 that goes over how to add storage/network drivers to the PE Disk. http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/help/english/drivers.htm
