If this is in the documentation then call me an idiot but I cant find it. I have a theme packaged into current installs. I've set up a test environment like a good little geek. I want to package the current theme for test environment installations. There is a server File Group for the theme on the production server. When I export and try to add the same file group in the test environment. It only adds 12 of the 18 files. Looks like it skips duplicates that were in directories.
Am I going about this the wrong way ? Is there in fact a document that explains this ? (its not the admin guide for EEM or EEPC) .
how are you adding the file group? Are you using the iset ini file from the original theme, or something you created yourself?
No, there's no documentation on this, though you can get help through prof services. Most people are content with just changing the three main graphics on an imported copy of the standard theme.
Just right-clicking File Groups on test server and choosing, New File Group. Then doing an export of the file group from prod and trying to import files. Even this doesnt explain how to package the graphics. We cant afford Professional Services and also feel a feature like this should be documented. I'm not sure what an iset ini file is.
Thanks for your response. My newbie questions are coming to a close soon.
switching a file is documented - that's in the EEM admin guide. You are trying to create a whole fresh theme though.
If you want to just import a 2nd copy of the existing theme, as you say create a new file group, set the properties properly, then do "import file set" using the iset.ini from your original theme. It won't work if you change the directory.
Then you'll have a fresh file group you can play with.
Thats part of the issue.. I'm having trouble identifying what directory the production server is using to store this particular File Group. Are the location of File Groups stored in an .ini file somewhere?
