When I boot my computer with the newest Safetechdisc I perform an Authorisation with the daily code.
This works perfectly.
When I click "Safeboot - Authenticate from data", this message appears "No disk algorithm has been set. please select an algorithm to use from the algorithm menu."
Then I click" Safeboot- Authenticate from SBFS", this error appears immediately:
"AUTHENTICATING THE USER FAILED WITH ERROR: E002000A"
What does this mean? I did not find any documentation on that.... What can i do? I cannot even select my sdb file, since this message appears immediately after clicking the button and prevents me from doing other steps.
What shall I do, what can I do?Nachricht geändert durch harrerch on 08.10.10 05:21:35 GMT-06:00
Hmmnot sure if this help..
Sometimes Safetech may ask for algorithm to be set –
go to Algorithm | Set Disk Algorithm and Select the correct algorithm..
To confirm which algorithm you disk was used
check on disk information
ALG ID under disk information from logical disk number
note: only good encrypted disk having this info
No need to rely on Disk Information if the same algorithm is being used for all machines in your organization consistently.
Just use the same algortithm as on any healthy machine.
the alg id is depends on alg choosed for enviroments isn't..
i've seen alg issue in safetech but not "AUTHENTICATING THE USER FAILED WITH ERROR: E002000A"
maybe sdb file corupted
No, not sdb file corrupted. It is "disk information not present". Typical error when EEPC protected files are not in a place where they are expected.
Ok if disk information not available then
to check the correct ALG is from loadable modules from EEM
