Hi, I'm working on a laptop and tried to fix a multiprocessor problem which required to make a change to a system .dll file. It was obviously risky and now Windows XP will not boot.
I am now trying to decrypt Safeboot v5 however I can’t get the SafeBoot Disk to load . Its goes thru the process but before it gets to the point that it asks for the Safetech Codes the system reboots automatically. Is there any way around this?
Yea I'm attempting to use Wintech now. Running into complications in getting the BartPE build correctly setup and burned to CD but that's another story.
How would I fix the windows issue without going through the decryption effort if I cannot access the C: drive? Have tried everything i can think of including WinPE.Message was edited by: Kane337 on 1/14/10 12:16:48 PM CST
Is there a place to download the bootable WinTech software so that I can then burn it to a CD? The BartPE build I'm working on keeps erroring out. Getting frustrated with it.
you have it in your distribution media (in the recovery directory). You have to make the WinPE disk though, we can't distribute that, it belongs to Microsoft.
On my personal site, there's a link to a batch file I wrote to build a WinPE disk using Windows AIK. Not sure if that would be useful to you? (http:\\simonhunt.wordpress.com)Message was edited by: SafeBoot on 1/14/10 10:13:04 PM GMT-05:00
