Testing with 5.2.5 is to determine if newest version of EEPC resolves your installation challenge.

As for KB, it is up to your company (after testing comes positive). If encryption is a must, I would suggest to use it, but monitor situation closely.

If issues arise, that McAfee support cannot resolve, ban SSDs (or use different SSDs) and use hard drives.

Sorry, which version of SafeBoot?

Unfortunately McAfee does not test/certify any specific platforms with their products. So all the testing is left for you...

SSD's are pin compatible with normal drives, so as far as the OS is concerned it makes no difference. The wear leveling algorithms on some of them is not very good though once the drive's been fully written to.

HI Peter/Simon

For testing purpose I have installed but could not successfully load Safeboot (5.2.3) on this laptop as after restart the error occurred as "Hard Disk Failed 0h Error"

The hdd is SSD (Solid State Drive) . Any solution or workaround ??

does it really make difference as it is SSD drive.. ?

Re: Safeboot Compatibility

EEPC works with BIOS at pre-boot, so yes, sometimes it does.
