SB 5.1.3 error E0050001

I encrypted a desktop HP with SB 5.1.3.  I logged into PBA a few times.  For a test, I needed to decrypt the machine.  I was able to use Safetech to decrypt it, but when I restarted to use the sbsetup -uninstall command to totally get rid of it, a message came up that SB was still activated. So I tried using Safetech again, thinking I didn't decrypt it.  When I try to Authenticating From SBFS, I get this message:  Authenticating the user failed with error e0050001.  There isn't a PBA now.  How do I totally get rid of SB?

Any ideas?

Thanks

After first decryption, if you left computer on a network, it probably tried to install encryption again. Can you still start Windows or is it not possible?

I would say call your helpdesk - tinkering is only going to make things worse. What was the original problem you were trying to solve?

Well I am the EE administrator.  I could call McAfee but I thought I'd try here first.

It's a stand alone machine.  I can log onto Windows and there is no SB PBA.

OK. So can you see if there is SbClientLog.txt on your system disk? Do you have EEPC icon in system tray?

SbClientLog.txt is on the system disk and the EEPC icon is on system tray.

Thanks

Can you post content of SbClientLog.txt file? Does Show Status indicate disk(s) being encrypted or not?

Re: SB 5.1.3 error E0050001

SbclientLog.txt is attached.  Keep in mind, this is not an online machine.  I encrypted successfully.

Thanks

Are you then saying that disk is encrypted? Then maybe re-run SafeTech, authenticated from database (SDB) and "remove safeboot" to decrypt disk and replace MBR.
