Problem Creating Safetech Disk on Remote Console

One of our admins is having difficulty creating a SafeTech disk from his desktop today. He has a remote console installed on his machine, but when we he goes to create the boot disk, he has no drives showing in the disk drop down. He has a USB drive plugged in and it shows up in explorer, but does not show up as a option in SafeTech. Any ideas?

RE: Problem Creating Safetech Disk on Remote Console

You can't do this over RDP, you need either a local copy of the admin system, or just run the bootdisk command from the recovery directory on a local machine.

RE: Problem Creating Safetech Disk on Remote Console

He has a local copy of the Admin Console on his desktop, it just connects to the "database" on a server. He was able to create a boot disk from the command line. But why isn't the drive showing up in the Console???

RE: Problem Creating Safetech Disk on Remote Console

If I remember correctly it shows up only if the USB drive is plugged in before opening the Admin Console.
