i have a HP 8510w notebook with protect tools suite. I use safeboot V5.
I have installed the safeboot tool past 7 days.
Iit work´s without any problems - but yet i cannot boot the OS after i fill in my correct credentials. I have made a defrag from all volumes with the tool TuneUp Utilities. Is this the problem for my situation?
If it worked fine prior to defrag, then yes, most likely the tool has done something bad. Most likely it moved SafeBoot.fs which is forbidden (and SafeBoot.fs is locked by the OS to prevent it being moved).
Your IT department will have the tools to recover the machine. Just get them to either restore a safe original MBR, or remove/decrypt the protection and start again.
with version 5.1.7 I found that when creating a new installation set exclude the fileset "EEPC51 Option: update the number of sides reported in the OS boot sector" and under General>Miscellaneous> check "enable bootdisk compatibility."
