Let me describe what happened - motherboard on an encrypted laptop with 2 drives malfunctioned.
The motherboard was replaced but now I can boot normally to win7 and then I can only see the bootable SSD and
when I try to open the second spinner HDD I got error message: "The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable"
I tried testdisk but so far no success - any ideas? maybe I am doing something wrong...
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Something changed along with the motherboard - perhaps you have different bios settings? Did they perhaps decrypt or reimage the SSD but not the mag?
Yes probably the BIOS settings are changed as it is brand new MB - now looks like the drive is decrypted as I can recover files with photorec, but still its a slow process and complicated
will take 20+ hours and I would be happy to rebuild the partition and file structure like it was - when i checked with testdisk it showed no partition under Intel/PC it detected automatically
"none" partitions and couldn't list any files after that
And no - no drive was reimaged - both drives were plugged like they were before.Message was edited by: silicoid on 6/24/13 6:46:13 AM CDT
If you can recover the files, then eepc is working fine and something else must have happened to the system - eepc knows nothing about files or folders etc.
We couldn't fix the file structure or partition, however we used Seagate Data Recovery software and it worked fine - recovering 200 GB and over
