I have fresh installed EEM and EEFF and I encounter this error after I installed the EEFF in my sample client.
I would like to know how's this happen and what are the steps I need to do to solve this. Do I need to configure the Object Directory or the database? If yes, what is the step by step procedure? I already read the manual but I am having hard time to understand and confuse of what procedure should I begin with.
it means you're trying to login with a user name which is not cached. Yes, you need the SBDBServer to be running.
There was an EEFF quickstart guide in the documentation you recieved - did you see it/use it?
If it's too confusing, I reccomend you get onsite help from your McAfee distributor.
Thanks for your response, I think I am getting to understand it but I just encountered another problem. Please see below screenshot:
I think I am having a problem with my object directory. I just create 2 accounts which is bernard and administrator in the EEM but when I used LDAP synchronization, it says the 2 accounts are ignored because its not in the object directory that's why I can't log in the client side. Do you have an idea how could I fix this? Thanks in advance.
Not yet. Honestly, I am not familiar of some options like attributes in the group mappings. Here's the screen shot:
Could you give the procedure and guide how to configure this? I just want it to sync with the object diretory so I can create policy and deploy keys. Thanks!
It's telling you bernard is ignored, because you manually created him - he was not created by the connector. This is normal and quite expected.
If you're trying to log in as Bernard on the PC within EEFF, and it's giving you that user does not exist issue, then it's a connection problem - go back and make sure you set up EEM and the SBDBServer correctly, and that when you create your install set you are picking a running server definition.
