We has suddently got an issue with several machines which reboots after loggin on EEPC 5.23. Even if the try to boot in SafeMode. We belive that EEPC 5.2.3 is causing this issue.
But we aren't able to access the OS:
Is there a way to check if it s EEPC which is causing this issue?
It's like this, we logs on to Safeboot i pre-boot. When logged on, at the machines starts up, it reboots instead. ??? And when trying to log on in secure-mode, it does the same - it reboots again.
So there not really any messages.
yes, but does it reboot before, or after the "starting Windows" banner appears? I'm not sure what "secure-mode" is - I don't have that option on my version of Windows?
Maybe you have the option to automatically reboot on failure enabled - if so maybe this info will help?
Simplest way is to use the F8 window and disable automatic restart so you can see the problem (if indeed it's a Windows error).
Sorry for the late reply.
It reboots just after the windows XP apears on the screen.
In securemode I mean when windows has stopped you will get som different ways to start windows again.
so, when you disable the automatic reboot so you can see the BSOD message, what does it say? It would seem like you have a Windows problem since EEPC is working well (Windows is booting, therefore the disk is being decrypted fine).
please DO NOT eBoot the machine - if it starts booting Windows then there's nothing wrong with the pre-boot file system. Removing encryption though will make your Windows problem easier to fix for sure. It's still going to be a Windows related issue though.
what is the model of the Laptop if the model ends with 20's from Dell egell E6420..
before installing the safeboot change the bios sata operations to ACHI mode then install the AHCI drivers in windows. AHCI drivers can get the from the Manufacture i.e dell. then install the safeboot then encrypt the machine. Please let me know the result
