If I have a database backup and found the folder for this machine, can I copy it back to it's original place, rename it back to 0x0000010f from 0x00000010f.RMV, run the orphan objects command and copy it back to its original group ?Message was edited by: mariosanchez on 9/10/10 2:13:26 PM CDT
yes. copy the files into the .rmv directory, then rename it and run the orphan scan.
BUT - if the folder exists with a .rmv name, that means the object is still in the recycle bin, so why do you need to go back to a backup? Just restore it from the bin!
I found the directory with the machine id, C:\Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption Manager\SBDATA\00000001\00000019\0000010f.RMV, but I can not find the PC object under Systems - deleted machines. Is that the recycle bin ?
