We have configured the sbconnector manager to fatch the users from AD. It is working properly since long but from from last 2 weeks we are facing error & due to that the synch not happening with AD. the connector manager logg shows error - "Time limit exceeded error""
I observe that if I re-enter the password of admin in connector manager configuration it will work for temporarily (2-3 days) but after that the same error comes again.
are you using the LDAP connector, or AD Connector?
It sounds like someone made a change on the directory to expire searches after a time limit - can they extend that?
Ohh Sorry my mistake... its LDAP connector only.
I could find the following lines in the log file:
LDAP logon Successful
search result = 3 (time limit exceeded)
abandoning search due to error
Directory search complete
Closing LDAP connection.
I'm not sure AD fully supports LDAP, or rather, I know it does not - it has a very "special" implementation.
You need to use the AD connector if you are connecting to AD - the LDAP connector is for proper LDAP directories, like Novell.
Thanx lot for ur support & hint given by u, the isue is resolved. The another task was running on that time & LDAp admin extend the timeout limit for search.
