first my english is not that well,
so I will describe it as clear as I can.
I'm a employee of HP,
use the software update from server,
so I do not have a cd rom like safetech/wintech or something(and I even don't know what those are),
I just update and installed the endpoint encryption,
now I find my PC is very slow and want to uninstall the endpoint encryption,
and I tried to enter the safemode and type the "sbsetup.exe -uninstall" thing but it did't work, it shows "the client can not be uninstalled while boot protection is still enabled."
I don't know the edition of my EEPC,
and my system is Vista,
so is there anyone who can help me?
really many many many thanks...
I think it's better for you to to check with your IT system administrator on this
they should know how to remove this..
because it's can only be removed from
1) manager (server)
2) local wintech/safetech
If not then what you can do is backup your stuff somewhere, format and reinstall your os.
System might be sluggish if disk encryption is still not complete. On larger drives it might take many hours to complete.
But once initial encryption of whole drive is done, your PC should be almost as fast as before.
What is EEPC connection manager Show Status showing?
I'm not sure what u mean when u say EEPC connection manager,
I just have a EEPC tray icon and I feel I can not do anything by using it such as disable the encryption.
OK, so C: and S: drives are fully encrypted. Your system should not be now substantially slower than it was before encryption.
What measurements you use to compare "now and before" performances?
