I have a laptop encripted with mcafee endpoint.
Everything was ok until I decided to install a second OS.
Before install a second OS, each time a turn on the laptop allways apear a window to put the encryptation password .
After the install it goes directly to the other OS.
I tried to read the disk in another pc with the same encryptation software, but the disk is not recognized and I receive que question if I want to format.
I need to know if it is possible the read the disk data or if I can recover the encryptation screen.
Your IT helpdesk may be able to recover your data - it depends on exactly what you did to install the 2nd OS - did you change the partition layout of the drive, or was it just a 2nd copy of Windows in the same partition etc.
regardless though, it's not something you can fix yourself, only your company IT team can fix it for you.
what I dis was, reduce the size of windows partition and then installed linux in the new partition.
The problem was when linux installation ended , tried to change the boot to install a dual boot.
That's way I asked if there is a way to install again the boot of encryptation software.
Sure, you can reinstall EEPC by running the installer again, but that won't help you get your data back - to decrypt the data you must go to your company IT team, as I said, it's not something you can recover yourself - you simply don't have the encryption key any more.
