We are using EEPC for a while now for notebooks and we encrypt also external HDDs for each user for backup purposes.
This HDD cannot be used for data exchange to other users because it is encrypted with the notebook-key.
Is there a smarter way to handle removable media with EEPC?
We have experimented with truecrypt also but it would be nice to get this thing centralize-managed...
for external media, you need to use EEFF - that product was designed specifically for this use case.
EEPC is not the right tool to protect external drives - as you've found, you can only ever access them on the machine which encrypted them. Not ideal.
