We are currently running encryption through encryption manager v5,2,8,9 which is not intergrated into EPo.
Suddenly we are experiecning issues in the sence that we can no longer force update the majority of laptops i would say 80-90% fail, all laptops are the same all firewalls on the laptops are off by design so as mentioned in other disscusions this cannot be the issue.
Does anyone have any suggestions? ( apart from its hyour firewall) becaise no changes have been made and that would not explain why only 80-90% of the laptops are effected if this was the case all laptops would be affected.
The version of EEM we are running has no more updates (apparently) as this is the latest version before EPo intigration.
Please HELP!! :-)
Error client log:- 0x5c00000f "failed to connect to the remote computer"
The computers are set to sync every 20 mins, this completes successfully everytime.
So laptop to server connections are fine.

The error is a general communication failure.
The sync is way to often. The server may be overloaded and simply refuses new connections. Reduce this to every 180 minutes to start with.
Lates EEM for this is v126.96.36.199
Did you check the laptop?
The most reason i see failed force sync from Endpoint Encryption Manager usually because it's cannot detect the client.. because it's ip changed or the client has change it's hostname..
When you sent force sync from EEM it's will using the last ip in the record.. this will normally change in DHCP enviroments..
When it's failed it's try to do wins by using network name..
Try ping the laptop from EEM if it's can find or respond..
