My name is Mario, work as L3 support for a media company and I hope you can lend me an helping hand... I have a Dell Latitude E6320 encrypted with EEPC which is throwing a Windows Boot Manager error. Decided to decrypt HD so I could back up before reimaging. Booting BartPE off a CD but when attempting to decrypt HD I get the following error: "Exception e0020008 occurred while trying to decrypt". Reading on the forums one of the suggestions was to update system to the latest BIOS, which was done by using an additional HD with OS only loaded. When booting up problem persists. Any ideas chaps?
Good morning to you. Firstly thank you for your much appreciated assistance. I did see that thread on a google search and must confess to my ignorance and fustration... but was unable to see any option to set HD to offline status.
What program is this in so I can move the thread to a more relevant area? PS we mods are retail/consumer mods so have little corporate experience thus we like the posts to be in the correct area.

You're getting e0020008 on boot now? Strange, if you'd got some way through a decryption I'd have expected a different error message.
The root cause though is either a bad sector on the drive, or missing critical functions in the bios - see http://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=answers&startover=y&query.source=corporate&question_box_st...
The fact you were decrypting from within BartPE (which does not use the BIOS) means it's more likely to be the former.
if you can confirm the exact situation you're now in we can perhaps help you further.
