Error reading disk sector error 0xe0020007

An issue has come up with 2 machines this week 1 Lenovo tablet and 1 laptop sata hdd,
both display

error 0xe0020007
Error reading disk sector

after preboot screen

For the tablet I have assertained that this was after the user let the battery go flat and it shut down, I am not sure about the laptop ( the user isnt sure, you know how that goes). I rebuilt the tablet, ran chkdisk all reported ok and reinstalled client tested and all ok, so it appears to have solved the issue, and device has been returned to user and all is ok.

So my question is would this error happen if windows shut the device down because of low bettery?. If it can I would need to warn all our users not to run on bettery power

RE: Error reading disk sector error 0xe0020007

Got the same error on a Lenovo T400. It was a test machine and one of the engineers just powered off the machine from the power button rather than shut down. Ever since we cannot access windows, We are able to get past the PBA logon but then get the Error reading disk sector message.
