We are using EEPC 5.2.x. We have installed EEPC in one of the Lenovo T400 Laptop. After successful installation when we restarted the laptop it gives Error: 0xe0050045 - Unable to read Data Store object attribute. After clicking OK we are getting the PBA screen but their after we have entered the correct login credentials but again we are getting the Error: 0xe0010020 - Unknown user name. So finally we are not able to login into the PBA.
These error is randomly displayed sometime client is able to login successfuly.
I read the Knoledge Base Article - KB68037 and checked Lenovo BIOS option Transfer Block of data (Multi Sector) but there is not such option available. Can someone help me on the same?
Which "x" is your 5.2.x? Those problems were much eliminated (but not completely in 5.2.4).
I have never seen it on T400. Run extensive diagnostics (surface scan) on your T400 hard drive.
USB handback is a different issue (black screen) and workaround is implemented starting with EEPC 5.2.3.
SBFS is corrupt - do an emergency boot to rebuild it, or disable/re-enable the product.
I don't think SBFS is corrupt. OP said:
"These error is randomly displayed sometime client is able to login successfuly."
Other factors play here.
You can have a corrupt SBFS and still be able to logon. Chances are the client will catch it when they go to change their windows password and the EEPC password never syncs. Changing it in the console also has no effect.
We have implemented safeboot upgradation part 5.1.3 to 5.2.4 ,then after enable User Local Recovery option in every user properities in safeboot server.Next day some users reported “Unknown User” where the user previously functioned and safeboot login screen showing JUNK letters in the user name filed.
1 Machine boot with the machine recovery option.
2 User remove in the mcahine properties in the safeboot server.
3 Synchronize the affected client machine and after select reboot option.
4 Once again machine boot with the machine recovery option.
5 Once we get the desktop of the machine ,again rebind the user in the affected machine properities in the safeboot server or add another user in the same machine properities for temporary purpose.
6 Synchronize the affected client machine and after select reboot option.
7 Check with safeboot user id and current password.
8 Once we get the enter the password ,we will get Local Recovery Enroll option display. We have faced some user same option again display “Unknown User” then after we have checked with another temporary user id mention in above task.
9 Complete the Local recovery part and machine boot sucessfully done and remove the user in the affected machine and sync.
10 Restrart the machine and login with another user id.
11 Again add actual user add in affected machine properities in the safeboot server and reboot the machine.
12 Check with actual user id and password.
I think this process is long to recover the user machine but it is working.
