Good Day,
What causes this error?
When I use the WinTech Disk I put the CotD in and when I try to authenticate from SBFS I get this error: 0xe0050020 Unable to open client data store.
How should I approach this?

Solved! Go to Solution.
Are you booting from SafeTech floppy? Did you put exported SDB file there?
You need exported machine SDB file on SafeTech floppy for step (3.)
Perform Emergency Boot to repair SBFS.
Hi,
Ok I followed the procedure outlined in KB53258...
I boot and Authorize with CotD, then I try to Authenticate from Database (not SBFS) and when the Select Transfer Database window opens the c drive is not listed, the only one listed that has any files is the floppy (SafeTech Disk), and those generate an error.
It will not allow a Emergency Boot without being both Authorized and Authenticated.
FYI Ver. 5.1.7.0 Build: 5500
More Ideas?
EDIT: In the meantime I will see if I can get to the Data using the A43 Utility from the WinTech Disc.

How do I export the SDB File, and from where do I export it?

I was able to see the drive with the file, I selected the Machine, and it is in process... It has been running for a bit now, does this usually take some time to Authenticate?

Well the SDB File for just the affected laptop is over 2MB. The whole group SDB file is 21MB+.
So fitting it on the Floppy is out...
I wonder if I should create the "Floppy" onto the USB Stick? -bearing in mind your USB in Pre-Boot environment warning. 😃
EDIT: Is there a newer SafeTech or WinTech ISO available?
