I've been working on a laptop for a couple days that won't go past the McAfee Boot Screen. It gives a "unknown" error with a bunch of 2's in it.
What the question is really about is SafeTech/WinTech options. The remote site does NOT have access to a floppy drive. I created an iso for the BartPE WinTech option but for some odd reason Emergency Boot (which is what the support person told me to use) is not available there.
Anybody have any ideas in this situation? I've tried setting a USB flash drive and CD up with the floppy version of the safetech tools but to no avail.
Forgive my ignorance happy but this sentence doesn't really make sense to me. I see no options (at least in the Roxio software I have) to make a bootable CD. In addition, I would also have to have the files from the floppy disk. I can burn those directly to CD, but I'm not sure how to make it bootable. What am I missing?
I think the Roxio help is your best friend here. I don't use that package either.
A boot CD is just a CD with a floppy image written in a special way. Usually you need to start with the floppy image itself. I guess you could try using SafeTech.rtb as your boot image, that may (or may not work).
