Windows 2003 server running EEM - used to be safeboot manager and we upgraded to EEPC a while back...
When I'm logged in to EEM as a global admin, If I press the help icon, windows help opens, but nothing displays on the right hand pane. You get that familiar page that says content not visible/can't display page... message
How do I rectify this? It's driving me crazy....
EEM is at version 5.2.3
I also have this issue- i have the follow event:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: ITSS
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1
The description for Event ID ( 1 ) in Source ( ITSS ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: C:\Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption Manager\safeboot.chm, http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink?LinkID=45834.
think its to do with with internet/intranet zones as the address for the page is seen as a URL: mk:@MSITStore:C:\Software\McAfee_EEM_525\Endpoint%20Encryption%
I've not tried this as I can open it manually like Simon says.
odd message - I would expect to see that if you were trying to open the CHM when it was stored on a network drive (that will never work!), but as long as both the EXE and help file are on your local hard disk, the local zone should be in effect?
Unless as I said before, the file is blocked (right - click to see).
It was blocked but i unblocked it and still get the error.
Running remote desktop onto server and get the "page cannot be displayed message". But i can open it up manually and its fine.
I think internet zones will be your problem.
Install it locally maybe? - make sure there are NO blocked files in the folder?
BTW I just tried it over RDP to a W2003 SP2 server and it worked fine as expected - I don't have a W2008 online though.Message was edited by: SafeBoot on 1/19/11 11:17:53 AM EST
