I am getting the following error when attempting to Remove EEFF.
What i have done.
Unloaded the keys and decrypted the data as discussed here https://mysupport.mcafee.com/eservice/Article.aspx?id=KB60903&lc=&pf=1
i have reloaded EEFF with a fresh package and attempted a Uninstall from the Add/remove and from the command line but to no avail, nothing.
Here is the Error
I am at wits end and have to get this off as its throwing errors left and right. I need to get this reinstalled with a new set that was created.
If it will not come off on its own or noone know whats happening, will a 3rd party uninstaller work??????
Safeboot sir i have done that probally 5 times. Any other suggestions. This has been a 3 day project that has really been a thorn in the side with no end in sight.
looking at the error code, it's likely you don't have enough rights to uninstall the module. Are you running on Vista/W7?
if so do sbsetup -uninstall from an administrator command prompt.
Safeboot we have done that, and yes Windows 7.
Tried it from a Elevated CMD Prompt. got the same error. THe only thing we havent doen is log in to the Machines Administrator as he is logged in as himself on the Domain but has Admin privalages, i dont see what diffrence that would make but we are going to try that.
How about uninstall in safe mode with out network support????
3rd Party Uninstaller???
worth a try. There are no 3rd party uninstallers which will touch it AFAIK though.
usually this is all down to not having enough rights - either because you don't, or because something is blocking you.
FYI for future Refernce, command line uninstall in safe mode logged in as the Local admin to the machine and not the logged in user even if Admin rights are there.
hey sorry was going to reply sooner but forogt. It may have been permissions. But......Logged in as Local Admin and no joy. Had to log into safe made with no network support.
