Is there a way to deploy autoboot.ini to C:\Program Files\McAfee\Endpoint Encryption for PC\Boot via EEM 184.108.40.206?
If I create and add autoboot.ini to a file set, update the file group then create an installation set will it place the autoboot.ini in the proper directory?
I know this can be easily achieved using SMS or a login script, but I was curious if my theory would work.
it will put it wherever you tell it to - also, all current EEPC machines watching that file set will download it as well.
just make sure you don't have two files with the same name/path assigned at once - that will cause a looping download as they overwrite each other.
You can deploy any file anywhere using that mechanism.
How do I "tell it" where to put it? Do I have to edit autodomain.ini or atodomain.vbs? If so which section would I put it in to accomplish this? Thanks for the help.
Something like this in the iset.ini?
Yes, it will work. But keep in mind that updating any file requires running "update" in EEM, to change file revision number.Message was edited by: peter_eepc on 4/29/10 12:26:41 PM EDT
