I got a HP notebook with encrypted Hard Drive.
The story is:
When I got a notebook - Windows wasnt booting and was giving blue screens.
Hard drive is encrypted with SafeBoot 5.1
I launched Recovery SafeTech cd and I authorized as a hdd user. I had full access to all the data etc. I thought the problem is solved (I need to recover the data from HDD).
After launching the SafeTech again, I cannot authorize and I get CLIENT DATA STORE ATRIBUTE NOT FOUND. ERROR NO 0xe0050041
I can mount SBFS as a drive.
Any suggestions how to proceed now?
Emergency boot the machine to repair SBFS?
Are you sure you mean SafeTech and not WinTech? either way, ether eBoot, or copy the user data off and then re-image.
Thanks for quick answer SafeBoot!
I was actually trying to do an emergency boot. I cannot do it. I tried several USB sticks and no luck. When I create the Emergency Boot on Pendrive, it boots, but after 1 - 2 seconds restarts the computer. Dont have an option to use floppy :/
if you can't find a floppy drive then, all you can do is decrypt the machine. Remember to use values from disk last if at all possible.
SafeBoot - thank you again!
I found a Floppy drive and managed to boot into emergency boot. Still I cannot use it as I got no database file. I cannot authorize over SBFS (I can an error - 003002).
Do you have any other solution to this problem. Im stuck with that again.Message was edited by: bartee on 10/7/11 11:45:53 AM CDT
Yes. Im pretty sure.
I had acces to the files when I first launched SafeTech/WinPe. The database was accessible. After next launch, the problems appeared as described above, and now im stuck.
Do you have any solution I can use?
