I'm using hp probook 4720s and i have encrypted my hard disc using Drive Encryption For HP Protect Tools(a McAfee product). now, when i switch on my computer, it ask of my password. after typing in my password, the computer fail to boot to the windows page.
this is displayed on my computer,,,,,,,,,,,..............Error:0xe002001b, no boot disk found. (drive encrption error). 1.what does it mean? 2.can i recover my hard disk or has it crashed? 3. how can i repair this error?
I've never heard of such a tool being a McAfee product. HP may include virus protection from McAfee in their packages but I'm not aware of any encryption tool made by McAfee for the consumer market (you posted in the consumer section).
I think you need HP Support for it or if you can point me to a link proving it's a McAfee product or maybe provide a screenshot, I can perhaps reroute this thread.

This is the best place to start - the HP product is not a "McAfee" product, yes, we have a part in it, but we don't support or sell it.
This doc will help explain the situation. https://community.mcafee.com/docs/DOC-3338
