I have receive one laptop with issue that D drive is not accessible. As per user, previously he was store data in D drive and suddenly after restarting D drive is not accessible. He is able to login McAfee PBA and windows. He is able to access C: drive but when try to access D: drive it showing "do you format drive".
in sbclientlog and audit log nothing strange. I know something wrong with this laptop, might user has formatted c: drive of encrypted laptop and re-install EEPC.
Can anyone know how to find out the cause/info about it. And is there any chance to recover data.
When user double click on D crive it showing message" D Drive is notaccessible , do you want to proceed with formatting" . Yes / No options.
While accessing D drive in A43 file management utility it showing "Parameters are incorrect".
if the user reinstalled their OS and activated EEPC again, the D: drive will still be encrypted with the old key.
So, simply find that and use WinTech/SafeTech to decrypt the drive.
