I installed Safeboot 5.1 - went through the setup and click finished. No settings where made to safeboot because I could not find it loaded anywhere so I rebooted.
Now it comes up with the Endpoint Encription Select a token to logon page requiring a username and password. My standard once for windows doesnt work , cant access my pc at all.
Any suggestionsMessage was edited by: Johan on 2010/03/16 8:02:33 AM
Using EE Manager application, check which user is assigned to your machine. If you did not change default password, you need to type in that user name and "12345" as password. Or use recovery procedure to bypass EEPC login.
When I put the pc on it comes up with the logon page.
I never assigned a username or password. dont know how to access EE Manager . I cant get past the logon screen.
Using Windows XP Pro.
Will I be able to remove the harddrive and put it on another PC (secondary drive) just to copy my data off.
PC doesnt even want to go into XP Safe mode.
You don't know how to access EEM? You must have used EEM to create the install package for the product in the first place? Did you install EEM and the client on the SAME machine?
I would start by reading the Quickstart guide for EEPC - that explains the basics.
Slaving the drive on another machine will only work if you DID NOT encrypt it. If you did, then you need to use EEM to do a machine recovery, then assign some users to the machine so you have someone to login with. :-)
Are you a system administrator for the Encryption program or did you just somehow happen to get a hold of an install for EEPC and ran it? Your IT Dept should be able to help you gain access to your machine.
I Agree with Som2010,
If you have safe boot server console (McAfee endpoint encryptionsmanager) then try to find the system with the hostname?
Or contact to EEMA (McAfee endpoint encryptions administrator)for further assistance.
