Can't create SafeTech bootdisk

My Dad recently gave me an old IBM Thinkpad with McAfee Endpoint Encryption for PC v5.1/SafeTech on it. He took all the data he needs off it and wanted it wiped before I used it, so not knowing any better I tried resetting it to factory settings. I've gotten the "SaffeBoot has been corrupted (error 92h)" message, and checked this knowledgebase, but I can't create a boot disk from that machine (can only access BIOS). My questions are as follows:

1. Can I create a SafeTech bootdisk from another computer?

2. Assuming the OS is encrypted, can I recover it?

3. Can I reinstall the OS over the encrypted one?

4. Will reinstalling the OS allow me to reformat everything and get rid of SafeTech?

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: Can't create SafeTech bootdisk

1. yes,  but it won't help you.

2. Not without the original keys from the previous activation.

3. Yes, but it won't get rid of the error.

4. No, it won't help at all.

Your father really needs to get his IT team to disable the software, as the software is company owned, not personal.
