Can an EEFF Self-Extractor file be read by a MAC OS?

The title pretty much says it all.  We have created self extractor files on a WinXP machine using EEFF 3.2.6 and we are having issues opening the file on an older MAC.  Can you read these files with a MAC OS?  Is there a specific version of MAC OS that should be required to read this file?

The self-extractor creates a Windows executable, so as long as you're trying to open them on a supported OS, it should not matter what manufacturer of PC you're using?

You can't run a Windows EXE on MacOS though - you'd need to use a Windows OS.
