0xe0050004

I have a laptop encrypted with EEPC 5.2.0. I tried to decrypt it using Wintech. When I tried to Authenticate from SBFS, I received this message:

0xe0050004 - The wrong version of the Safeboot client is currently active.

Why am I getting this message? I've removed Safeboot 5.1.7 before, never getting this message.

RE: 0xe0050004

you need the 5.2 version of WinTech - it's not on the CD unfortunately.

you need to get it from your platinum support person.

We have the same problem here with the version 5.2 of EEPC . Platinium support sent us ver 5.1.7.0 version of the WinTech plugin and still have the same problem. Is there a version 5.2 of the plugin ??

RE: 0xe0050004

If someone else have this problem, here's the reply for the Platinium support :

The plugin included with the 5.2.0.9 release is not correct and any existing Wintech disk will not work.

Please use the following plugin to create a new ISO.

Wintech_5.2.0.12_Plugin
